Ikea Family Deals

So I was planning our trip to Ikea this morning and happened across this, Ikea Family. It is a great card to have. We were headed down for my husbands first trip and to say he was impressed would be an understatement. It is just a great experience. Anyway back to the card. They list top 10 reasons to have the Ikea Family Card and I will re post them here:
Top 10 Reasons to join IKEA FAMILY Loyalty Program:
1. Enter for a chance to Win a $100 Gift Card Sweepstakes every time you swipe your card
2. Monthly DISCOUNTS on Select products from every department
3. DISCOUNTS on all IKEA FAMILY Dept. products daily
4. Get a FREE Fat-Free Frozen Yogurt when you join
5. Customized emails to your personal shopping interests
6. Monthly offers you can't resist at the IKEA Restaurant
7. Monthly discount on an item in the Swedish Food Market
8. It's FREE to join this unbelievable customer loyalty program
9. Extra 30 minutes in SMALAND during non-peak periods
10. FREE coffee/tea at IKEA Restaurant daily for members only

So needless to say this was enough to make me join. You log in or scan your printed out info or you can join in the store. The kiosk then prints out your card. It is awesome and got us free teas during lunch and a free frozen yogurt at the end of our trip. I think it was a raging success! One bad thing about Ikea though is that the store has this ability to make me want to redo the entire house.

One other thing I want to share with you is just how baby/ family friendly this store is. They have an area to nurse, change your baby, parking up close to the doors for families, bibs, microwaves, bottle warming stations, and plenty other amenities. Children have little play stations throughout the entire store and Smaland(indoor supervised play area) at the entrance for potty trained children. They can stay an hour for free or an hour and a half if it is non peak hours and you have your Family card. I could write all day about this experience, the great cafe deals etc but I should probably save that for another post.
